Welcome to The AMR Collection!
Akili Richards, a 34 year old artist from Morristown, NJ has been drawing and painting for as long as he can remember. Coming from a tremendously gifted artistic family, his gift was encouraged and cultivated from a young age.
Photo Realism is a delicate painting technique using fluid paint strokes to create a work that has the depth and detail of a photograph. The purpose is to invite the viewer into an extremely intimate experience with the picture and even take the viewer to worlds and places never seen. Using Illustrator and Photoshop, Akili has created his very unique style of “Digital Airbrushing”. Akili has often received puzzled responses from viewers of his work who, prior to realizing the works were painted, thought them to be actual photographs. These response have inspired Akili to apply some of those same shading techniques in to his stylized art work.

Each giclee is printed on Arches museum quality textured paper.
Original edition prints are hand signed and numbered. All prints come with a certificate of authenticity and are framed and matted.
